Minis & Juniors Chairman Comments:
We have reached the end of
what has been another terrific season for the Mini and Junior section of Derby
RFC with successes at Three County and National level. Each age group goes from
strength to strength and we are fielding two teams in most age groups.
It has also been a great
pleasure to host five major Rugby events, starting with the Lexus tournament and
culminating in the NLD U16s sevens. Our ability as a club to carry this off has
resulted in being awarded the Lexus tournament for 2007/08 which is a tremendous
coup. So, well done to all our players, our award winners and a very big thank
you to all the parents, coaches, managers and event organisers. See you all on

In addition player wise we have had:

players representing Derbyshire at U14's.
6 players in the NLD SQUAD: Josh Pearson, Shane Purcell, Tom Summerscales, Josh Tizard, Sam Tresidder and Callan
Watson. All played apart from the injured Shane Purcell and
4 players in the Leicester Tigers EPDC: Shane Purcell, Tom Summerscales, Sam Tresidder and Callan Watson. |
